Privacy Policy
ELUX Automotive ("ELUX", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through eluxauto.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other privacy laws that apply to us.
The short version
- We collect only what you choose to send us, plus the minimum technical information needed to run the Site securely.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
- The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for the investor portal, and only after you sign in.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you register for investor access, we collect your name, email address, and, if you provide them, your company and message. When you email us, we receive whatever you include in that email.
Information collected automatically
When you submit the registration form, we record the date and time, your IP address, and the country it appears to come from. We use these to understand where requests originate and to detect spam and abuse. Like any website, our hosting provider also processes standard technical data, such as IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the Site and protect it from attacks.
Cookies
The public Site does not use cookies. If you sign in to the investor portal, we set one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in. It contains no personal information, is not used for tracking, and expires after 12 hours or when you sign out.
How we use information
- To review registrations, provide investor portal access, and respond to your enquiries.
- To communicate with you about ELUX Automotive and investment opportunities you have asked about.
- To keep the Site and portal secure, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We will not send you marketing messages without your consent, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the Site. They process information only on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards:
- Cloudflare hosts the Site and portal and protects them from attacks.
- Mailgun delivers registration form submissions to our inbox.
- Our email provider stores the messages we receive.
- Google Fonts serves the Site's typefaces. Your browser requests them directly from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a financing, merger, or acquisition, subject to confidentiality obligations.
Where information is stored
Some of our providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities.
How long we keep it
We keep registration and correspondence records for as long as needed to manage our relationship with you and meet our legal and regulatory obligations, and then delete or anonymize them. The Site itself does not store form submissions.
Security
The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. The investor portal is password protected, and we limit access to personal information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the information you share with us.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal and contractual limits. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
